938 Live plays jazz

I wrote an article on journalism previously.

The nauseating media coverage of the elections continue.
A check on Razor TV shows that all 20 of the latest videos are PAP related. Razor TV is an SPH website, Singapore's one and only newspaper company.

Today, Straits Times, an SPH publication, has adopted a different tactic to help the PAP- diversion.
There's no doubt that Bin laden's purported demise is world news. But to give this ten-year old story the first 7-8 pages of today's edition is a little overkill.
I think there were fewer pages devoted to GE2011 and you know whose stories they carried.

938 Live is even more baffling. We see that nearly every opposition rally draws 5000 or more people. Many on the ground are buzzing with excitement (for some fear) over the elections.
You would expect the country's only English news radio station, 938fm, to be jam packed with programs talking about voter issues.
Yet, all you get is the usual news round up on the hour and then 5 minutes worth of PAP candidate speeches and summaries and then.... jazz music!
Where are the political discourse, exchanges, unbiased commentaries etc?
This is probably one of the most important GEs in living memory and yet you play jazz music half the time?
I'd tune into 99.5 Lush if I wanted jazz music.

Shame...
